Rick and guests will clarify numerous topics of interest proposed by previous students:

Declarer Play:

• When to draw trumps – and when NOT to draw them
• Establishing a side suit
• Establishing tricks at Notrump
• Playing suit combinations
• Hold up and Ducking Plays
• Deceptive Play

Defending:

• what the bidding tells you?
• why we select the suit to lead before we choose the card to lead
• why we show COUNT during defense of a hand
• defensive signaling and cooperation
• deceptive defensive play

Special guest for our first class on Thursday, February 18^th will be Mr. Kevin Griffin.  Kevin is an experienced ACBL director who runs virtually all of our local tournaments, including our annual state championship game.  He has agreed to speak to the group and answer questions about the laws and mechanics of tournament play.
