Paul Kinney Remembered District 25 is saddened by the recent passing of Paul Kinney. Many bridge players have sent in rememberances which can be found here.North American Pairs Underway During the months of June, July, and August, clubs throughout the ACBL will be hosting special North American Open Pair qualifying games with huge masterpoint bonuses. Those pairs from District 25 (New England) with an above average game in the qualifying game will qualif y to compete in the 2005 District 25 Finals of the North American Open Pairs which will be held at the Sturbridge Host Hotel, October 15-16, 2005. As in previous years, the winning pair in Flight A, B , and C will each receive round-trip airfare and two nights hotel accommodations at the Hyatt Regency Dallas, TX to participate in the National Finals. The second place finishers in each flight will recieve a partial reimbursement ( airfare only), and the 3rd place finishers will not recieve reimbursement but will be eligible to play in the National finals. This may not sound like much, but with only about 75 pairs competing for the title at the Nationals, what better odds can one find to have a chance at earning a National crown? Flight A is open to all players. Flight B is for those with less than 2000 points recorded by the ACBL prior to their June masterpoint cycle, which is compiled between May 1st and May 15th, and Flight C is open to those Non-Life Masters with fewer than 500 points prior to the ACBL's June masterpoint cycle. The Flight A Finals will be held during the weekend of March 29-30, 2006, and the Flight B & C Finals will be held during the weekend of April 8-9, 2006. Please come out, support your local clubs, your units, and the District and help make this year's event the biggest and best ever! Mark Aquino
